Slater on the left and Shane on the right just having a good time at Molly Malones Saturday night. Shane and I ran the Mini Marathon this past Saturday. We finished in 1:55 which is pretty good for some guys that only do CrossFit. I believe Shane had only run about 5 miles total over the past 3 months and for myself no more than 2 miles. Shane is also considering competing in the IronMan. He wants to use www.crossfitendurance.com as his platform for success. We’re going to help him in anyway we can to complete his goal. Me personally, I want to thank CrossFit.com because without it I wouldn’t have known what it would take to finish those last three miles of the Mini.
Strength- Back Squat 3×5
WOD
12 min ARAMP (as many rounds as possible)
15 Wall Ball
200 meter run
Lets have another great week!

What is DCCF? The essence of CrossFit is a view that fitness is about performing well at any and every task imaginable. Picture a hopper loaded with an infinite number of physical challenges and being asked to perform random feats drawn from the hopper. The implication here is that fitness requires an ability to perform well at all tasks, even unfamiliar tasks, tasks combined in infinitely varying combinations.
Workouts involve the use of kettlebells, bodyweight drills, Olympic weight training, and cardiovascular conditioning. Unlike other gyms, A COACH IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE to assist and direct you to ensure safe and proper technique and help achieve long-term success. Furthermore, this coach is included as part of your monthly membership. As a member of Derby City CrossFit, not only will you get coaching every day you’re at the gym, you will also have access to a massage therapist, Pilates classes, and nutritional advice.
CrossFit is focused on improving performance in the 10 recognized general physical skills of fitness:
• Cardiovascular Endurance
• Speed
• Muscular Strength
• Muscular Power
• Agility
• Balance
• Coordination
• Accuracy
• Flexibility
• Stamina
We’re conveniently located in the heart of downtown Louisville, inside the Sign-A-Rama building on E. Market St. Give it a try, Louisville! You’ll never want to try another gym!

Love CF Endurance. Congrats on the mini times. Unfortunately too many people will continue to pound the pavement at 10+ miles a week thinking that it is helping, when they are only susceptible to injury with no noticeable gain in time or strength.
Yes, that is true, but change starts with a pebble and those ripples change the look of the water.
